Exclusive SIFCO Process® to be showcased at Advanced Engineering show
Engineers from across UK industry will be able to discover the benefits of the renowned approach to selective brush plating developed by global leading supplier, SIFCO Applied Surface Concepts (ASC) at Advanced Engineering this November.
SIFCO ASC, part of Norman Hay plc, returns to one of UK industry’s most important engineering and technology exhibitions for its third year.
The SIFCO Process® is the leading portable method of electroplating localized areas without the use of an immersion tank, and is primarily used for enhancing surfaces on Original Equipment Manufacturing (OEM) components, permanent repairs and salvaging mis-machined parts.
SIFCO ASC surface enhancement technologies and selective plating services have been utilized for more than 50 years on both OEM components and on parts requiring refurbishment in the aerospace, oil and gas, general industry, and power generation sectors.
This will be the first year the company has exhibited under its new brand identity which was launched earlier this year. Visitors to the stand will be able to familiarise themselves with the new identity reflecting the company’s commitment to developing new solutions for selective plating processes and materials.
Thousands of visitors are expected to attend the event in Birmingham this Autumn. They will be able to get to grips with the benefits of using the selective plating process and understand various aspects such as how components can be plated in-situ, how parts too large to tank plate can be processed, and how the process can be performed conveniently on site.
Mark Smith, European General Manager of SIFCO ASC, says: “Advanced Engineering is a highlight of the SIFCO ASC calendar and we look forward to demonstrating to the industry how our processes are cost effective, simple to deliver and can reduce machine downtime and production delays, as well as offering a host of other benefits.”
