The SIFCO Process® copper plating application reduces lead times, meets stringent regulations and produces components of exacting quality.

Part of The SIFCO Process®, copper plating is a selective brush plating method of applying metal deposits to localized areas without using an immersion tank. The portable process enables you to plate stationary parts that are either difficult to move or disassemble.

We offer numerous pure metals and alloy solutions, from zinc to nickel and cadmium replacements that can be electroplated onto virtually all common metals and alloys used in industry today.

Copper Plating Solutions

Copper electroplating is used in a wide range of industries, including oil and gas, defect repair and remanufacturing due to its corrosion protection, wear resistance, and high build properties. Additionally, copper plating has exceptional conductive and thermal properties. 

In copper electroplating, a metal substrate is placed in an electrolytic bath and an electric current is used to cause copper ions to adhere to the base material’s surface. The result is a thin copper coating on the surface.
