Solutions Manufacturing Technician – Ohio

Job Responsibilities:

  • Measure raw materials/chemicals by volume and/or weight using devices such as scales, graduated cylinders, and volumetric flasks.
  • Load raw materials/chemicals and DI water into mixing vessels.
  • Affix and adjust mixers and heating elements to mixing vessels to assure proper manufacturing parameters are met.
  • Operate fill stations to bottle per work order requirements.
  • Label and package bottles and other containers into appropriate cartons.
  • Document production process following established procedures and work instructions to assure consistent finish solutions.
  • Operate forklift and pallet jack in moving, loading, and unloading supplies, and equipment within facility.
  • Routine maintenance & troubleshooting of equipment.

Qualifications Requirements 

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); three to six months of demonstrated and related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to pass a Respirator Fit Test and Pulmonary Function Test in order to utilize a Respirator while working;
  • Basic Mechanical aptitude/skills

Other Requirements

  • Regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals, frequently exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather).

  • Must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
  • Frequently required to stand; walk and sit;
  • Ability to function in Shop and Office environment.

Preferred Experience

  • 1 to 2 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • 1 to 2 years of experience working in a chemical mixing environment

Salary: $35,500.00 to $45,000.00 /year

Shipping & Receiving Technician – Ohio

Job Responsibilities:

  • Compare identifying information and count, weigh, or measure items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bill of lading, invoices, orders, or other records. Verify & maintain computer logs on incoming material and purchase orders.
  • Check items to be shipped against work orders to verify that quantities, destination, and routing are correct. Prepare shipments; determine cost efficient shipping method, prepare shipping documents, select appropriate shipping container and pack items to ensure safe delivery. Assemble wooden or cardboard containers or select preassembled containers.
  • Receive and unload incoming materials, visually inspect for damage, defect or shortage and ensure all necessary paperwork is received. Stage materials for production. Inform the Shipping & Receiving Supervisor to process return shipments.
  • Operate forklift, overhead crane and pallet jack in loading, unloading and delivering shipments, supplies, and equipment. May assist in routine maintenance of equipment.
  • Responsible for maintaining the physical process and product inventory shipping material and supply levels and accompanying records. Notify the Shipping & Receiving supervisor of low inventories and report inventory quantities as required to ensure accurate and available inventory for production needs.
  • At times, confer with organizational members to coordinate flow of materials or products.

Qualifications Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED with minimum 2 years’ experience related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written or oral form including: work documents and quality specifications and standards.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of MS Office.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of basic mathematics.
  • Ability to utilize basic to intermediate measurement tools to verify dimensions of incoming product.
  • Knowledge of UPS and/or FedEx preferred.
  • Knowledge of Hazardous material shipping regulations preferred.

Quality Technician – Ohio

Position Summary:

The quality technician will support the organization to validate processes in a solution manufacturing and brush plating services environment.  This candidate will perform solution analysis testing using a variety of lab equipment, assist with internal audits, customer surveys and will be involved with validating the effectiveness of implemented corrective actions.   This person will also support R&D for solution and product validations.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Brush plating of solutions for product approval and periodic testing requirements
  • Make mounts for hardness testing and analyze results
  • Use tools and equipment for bend testing
  • Use scales and gages to measure coating weight and thickness
  • Measure solution characteristics such as pH, specific gravity and metal content using appropriate equipment
  • Other testing includes salt spray, taber abrasion, XRF, Fischersope and composition
  • Make tooling that conforms to specimens for plating
  • Issue purchase orders for supplies and testing
  • Review and approve test reports
  • Review and approve completed mix sheets
  • Create certificates of conformance for approved solutions
  • Perform validation of implemented corrective actions
  • Assist in the validation of new products and design
  • Perform internal audits as assigned
  • Complete and update customer surveys
  • Participate in daily GEMBA walks providing information related to quality control
  • Report nonconforming product and issues to the quality manager
  • Be active in the continuous improvement program to reduce escapes

Qualifications Requirements:

Associates Degree in Chemistry or equivalent work experience of 3 years in Quality and/or Manufacturing environment; Familiarity and other competencies:

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically word and excel
  • Ability to use micrometers, calipers, scales and measuring equipment
  • Knowledge of salt spray, hardness, heat resistance, hydrogen and stress testing
  • Experience or training in basic chemistry and/or analytical chemistry is preferred
  • Familiarity with brush plating is preferred
  • Knowledge of aerospace and military industry specification standards
  • Knowledge of test method standards such as ASTM’s
  • Knowledge of AS9100, ISO9001, Internal Auditing, Nadcap (Chemical Processing) and FAA Requirements are a plus
  • Continuous improvement and lean skills
  • Ability to communicate across multiple teams

Other Requirements

Exposure to noise and chemicals consistent with a chemical manufacturing environment.  Ability to function in Shop and Office environment as well as perform desk/computer work and hands on testing in a laboratory environment.
